How can I help my learner tell buttons apart?
Some learners are definitely just memorizing button location and changes in labels or switching the whole button doesn’t phase them, but others do look at labels. "Food" doesn't need a picture of a dog bowl on it, but it should ideally have an image that's distinct from the ones on the other buttons.

In Defense of Spam
I’m here to suggest that maybe spam is good actually. Spam is a sign that your learner is excited! And it’s a way for your learner to tell you stuff that’s really important to them. Don’t fear button spam, see it for what it is and embrace it!
