How can I help my learner tell buttons apart?

Some learners are definitely just memorizing button location and changes in labels or switching the whole button doesn’t phase them, but others do look at labels. "Food" doesn't need a picture of a dog bowl on it, but it should ideally have an image that's distinct from the ones on the other buttons.
